Visiting this restaurant with my wife and my in-laws. Was told by friends that their Steamed Fish with Sweet White Radish was very nice. So we decide to give it a try.
Hot Plate Toufu was very delicious and it is boiling hot upon serve to our table. It was raining night so even the hot plate toufu did not last long before it start to get cold.
Steamed Fish with Sweet White Radish was perfectly steamed. The fish was so fresh. It wasn’t the best Steamed Fish with Sweet White Radish but it was very nice too.
My wife wanted to try out La Taste but the last time she visited here, it was so crowded. So she didn’t manage to try out the food here. She show me the way and we are finally here to taste out how good the food is. My wife was so excited too.
I ordered the Spaghetti Napolitana Set, which included a drink, dessert, soup of the day (mushroom soup) and croissant. The croissant was so soft and delicious. Mushroom soup was nice but it wasn’t the best.
We decided to bring my parents-in-law to have dinner here, Ume Sushi Restaurant. It wasn’t difficult to locate Ume Sushi Restaurant as it was located inside Park Avenue Hotel in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
Chicken Cha Siu Don was very delicious but unfortunately they are not serve in hot bowl condition. We found it was start getting cold with only slight warm on the rice at the bottom of the bowl.
Scallop Teppanyaki Teishoku which I was expecting nicer but the scallop was deep fried instead of grilled. Totally disappointed and when it was serve to our table it wasn’t hot at all. Only the steam egg was serve hot.
Formerly it was known as Edo Ichi Sushi but it has changed it’s name to Azuma Sushi.
Smoked Duck Ramen was very nice soup noodles. It has sliced smoked duck, soft boiled egg and wakame. According to the menu, it suppose to have another ingredient, spring onion. But I not sure why it is not included when it was serve to us.
Beef Yaki Niku Don was very nice too. The sliced beef and onion was stir-fried with garlic sauce. Below the sliced beef and onion was the white rice imported from Japan.
Well, it was Mother Day and so my dear wife wanted to surprise my mom-in-law with a nice Thai food dinner. We went back to her hometown, Sungai Petani. We had lunch together at home as my mom-in-law cooking bee hoon soup.
Around 6.30pm, everyone is hungry and we heading down to a newly open Thai restaurant called Thai Lotus Restaurant. It was packed with crowd coming here to have dinner and celebrate Mother Day. Lucky there is two tables left and we quickly sat down on one of the table. Flipping thru the menu and we start ordering.
Here is the Deep Fried Squid with Salted Egg but it wasn’t so nice as I would expected. Doesn’t have the strong fragrance of the salted egg but atleast it is crunchy and not over-fried it.
Tom Yam Seafood was spicy and sour that always work fantastic as appetizer. The Tom Yam Seafood filled with shrimps, fish meats and squid. You can taste the scents of the lemongrass, tomato, chili, galangal, lime leaves and I believe they use some creamer powder or creamer rather than coconut milk.
