Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul & Ice Kacang @ Penang Road, Penang

Like most Penangites, we heard of the Penang Famous Teochew Chendul (Cendol) and Ice Kacang. I believe most of us had it before. Some of you might tasted it since we was young. I remember the first time I had it was back in the 80’s. I was still in primary school.

I visited it atleast once a year and I bring all my oversea or outstation friends here to try out the cendol and ice kacang. Personally, I love Ice Kacang more. Just personal preference.

There is a huge different if you eat them at the stall and the shop. The shop was just located few shoplots away from the actual stall. They do prepare the chendul (cendol) and ice kacang in the shop too but it melfed a lot when it serve on our table. So if you can stand the heat, I strongly recommend you to stand infront of the stall or beside the stall and eat them.

Price wise it was still at affordable range so you can see the crowds everyday included local and tourists.

Parking is definitely a big problem here. You can park across the main road (Penang Road) at Phee Choon Road. Sometime you might be lucky to find parking space in Kuala Kangsar Road. Ofcouse, you can park at Dr Lim Chwee Leong Road (there is a small hourly basics car park) and Lebuh Kimberley.
