Good news for Penangites or Kedahan! No longer need to take flight to Bangkok to have a nice matcha dessert or matcha roll-cake. Kyo Roll En open their new branch in Hatyai on 2017 and I only get to visit it recently on my family trip to Hatyai.
Matcha Cone was very delicious. We love matcha! Served in crispy wafer-cone with assorted premium toppings included the chocolate-made logo. The brand new SUMI Sticky Rice Cone surprise me with mild charcoal-vanilla flavour. Ofcourse it also included with the chocolate-made logo.
Maxim Dim Sum Restaurant in Taman Pekaka was my favourite place for dim sum especially their egg tart and Hong Kong style Chee Cheong Fun.
Hong Kong style Chee Cheong Fun is the best in Penang. The prawn within the Chee Cheong Fun was so fresh and juicy. Pepper shrimp paste goes perfectly well with it. Not like some other places, their pepper shrimp wasn’t that delicious. Texture of the chee cheong fun was so smooth and the soya sauce did not overcome the freshness of the prawn. Some other place the single plate of Hong Kong style Chee Cheong Fun only contain about 2 to 3 prawn but here you get more prawn. Some other places the prawn wasn’t as fresh and juicy as their prawn they use here.
Fried wanton was also one of my favourite here. Crunchy outside but inside the meat still preserve some juiciness. And again it match well with the mayonnaise and chili sauce.
This time I would like to share my experience as I dine in this restaurant in Bukit Mertajam, is called Daily Fish Restaurant. They have few branches in Penang and this time we have our dinner in the one in Bukit Mertajam.
First dish was the vegetable and nothing to shout about it. Feel very disappointed.
Fried mantis prawn which another disappointed dish. Nothing special about it.
Running out of body scrub, so this trip to Hatyai we want to buy some body scrub especially salt type scrub. We went to Central Festival Mall Hatyai and we bought this Scentio Tofu Soy Milk Salt Scrub from Beauty Buffet.
Scentio Tofu Soy Milk Salt Scrub provides gentle yet intense exfoliating for skin. It consists of soy milk and tofu to help soften and whiten skin, while the sea salt help to remove dead skin to effectively cleanse and yet provide gently exfoliate to clear away rough, dull surface skin cells without irritating. You won’t feel your skin dry up after using this product.
One of the signature dish which attract me to this restaurant was the Milky Soup Beehoon. You can choose different noodle but we decided to choose thick beehoon.
Milky Soup Beehoon was perfect. Fish meat was so fresh and the soup was so milky. Portion was bigger than the usual malaysian-sized serving. It was simply amazing and a must try dish, unless you dislike milk.
Hakka Fried Pork Mee was very similar like our local Wanton Mee but instead of Char Siu, it serve with fried pork. And the portion also much bigger than the usual malaysian-sized serving. It also serve together with a small bowl of soup and trust me the soup was very delicious.
