Zuzudo Ramen Bar was the latest ramen resturant in Penang, official launched on early April 2017. This is entirely pork-free restaurant and the soup of the ramen was stewed from chicken bones. The soup base is then used to create all 4 categories of soup: Shiro (White), Kuro (Black), Curry and Kara (Spicy).
We have ordering Torimori Kuro, Torimori Kara, Gyoza and Temari Mori. Bad news was Gyoza and Temari Mori was not available on that day. Disappointed.
Torimori Kuro was simmered with chicken meat (boneless) and egg. I love the egg so much. Perfectly boiled egg! The soup base which stewed with chicken bones for hours was magnificent and so alluring.
Torimori Kara is a spicy and so alluring. Me and my wife love Torimori Kara more than Torimori Kuro. Again I think the portion is kinda small with just a few pieces of chicken meat.
We do enjoy the atmosphere here and the ambiance was wonderful. On top of each table, there is a small light so you can use them to take photo of the food.
Hot Green Tea was better than Sushi King or Sakae Sushi, no free refill here.
Parking is not a problem here where you can park at the multi-layer car park or basement. But if you plan to have lunch or dinner, be sure you come early because the limited seating area.
Overall, the ramen was great but kinda expensive. I don’t recommend for having lunch here as it might be bit heaty but evening would be great to have dinner here. Personally, I still feel hungry after finish my bowl.
