Was recommended by friends and finally I get to taste of it. We driving all the way from Penang to Petaling Jaya and was very tiring after a long drive. It was located near to Sunway Pyramid so you won’t find it hard to locate the shop.
By time we arrive here, it was so crowded as it was lunch time. Lucky we manage to find an empty table and we decided to try the famous dry bak kut teh, which is their specialty. So you can’t afford to miss it out, make sure you order it. We also ordered bak kut teh soup and few other dishes.
We wait for a very long time before our dishes is serving to our table. So hungry and soon we finish off all the dishes cleanly.
You can actually order plain rice and pour into the dry bak kut teh pot and mix it well with the dark source and the squid slices left on the bottom of the pot. Yes, there is tiny slices of squid inside the pot so make sure you don’t waste it.
The You Cha Kuey and Fried Foo Chok were freshly fried, so it was hot and crispy.
Unfortunately the bak kut teh soup was nothing to shout about. I love strong herbal scent of bak kut teh soup. And I felt it was a big salty.
We recommended the dry bak kut teh and fried foo chok. If you like bak kut teh soup, then you can skip it if you prefer strong herbal scent inside the soup.
You need to be patient if you do come over during lunch or dinner hours.
